These photos are from my mobile phone again so forgive me the poor quality.
This ZIL 131 is ex Finnish Army military truck. I can guess that it has recently been bought at auction for the military vechiles.
These trucks were made in Russia from 1966 to 1991 and there were something like 400 units in Finnish Army in different usages but mainly equipped like this one.
The weight of the truck is about 6700 kg
Ability of carrying the load is about 5000 kg

Transmission: 5+1 with two step reducing gear. All Wheel Drive (6x6).
If I remember right, this is the second truck in my blog here. The first was old Volvo some (maybe two) years ago. Should I pay more attention for the old trucks around here?
Suspension: solid axles with leaf springs.
Top speed: 80 km/h.
Brakes: drums, with pneumatic control.
Stopping distance (at 35 km/h): 40 ft (12 m)
Wheelbase: 10 ft 10 in (3.30 m)+4 ft 7 in (1.40 m)

I have been driven a truck like this once in military rehearsal about twenty years ago. The experience was memoriable.
